Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything to this blog page, and that’s mainly because we’ve been really busy trying to get things done here. A little less conversation and a little more action Elvis once said, and in this matter, like most, the king was probably correct.
Anyhow I can report significant progress over the past 9 months.
ChargeSync are currently running a live trial with two different, very forward-looking energy suppliers. In total we have a lucky, or magnificent if you like cowboys, 7 boxes deployed, all of which have now been operational for over a month with only minor glitches so far. The boxes and optimisation are behaving as expected, and generating a flow of revenues, and carbon savings at the same time.
Our aim, if the trial is successful, is to create a ‘plus storage’ tariff proposition together with our collaborative energy suppliers, which will allow you to put a box in your home, and extract the financial benefits associated doing so. As a part of this, we are evaluating quotes to design and manufacture orders of magnitude more StorQubes.
As a small team, we’ve stayed very focussed on our task to deliver a working set up, and to create the right framework. I’m delighted to say that we’ve delivered, or are on the cusp of delivery, of our stated objectives and milestones from our Invesdor raise earlier in the year. Innovation is an addictive world, and it’s easy to get sucked into a constant spiral of new projects and sidelines. My observation is that for any start-up to have even a chance of success, you need to keep a core team focussed on delivery. I’m proud that this is what we have done to date, and what we plan, investment permitting, to do in the future.
